Building Power: Oliver Construction Completes Generac’s New Beaver Dam Facility

Oliver Construction recently completed a new manufacturing and office facility for Generac Power Systems in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. The project adds a major presence along Highway 151 and reflects Generac’s continued growth and investment in Wisconsin manufacturing.

The new facility includes 324,000 square feet of manufacturing space, 15,000 square feet of offices, and a 1,100-square-foot training room. It features four main assembly lines and four test cells, each with multiple test stations designed to support efficient production and quality testing.

Built through a design-build partnership between Oliver and Generac, the facility was designed for long-term flexibility, efficient workflows, and future expansion. Oliver’s integrated approach allowed the architecture, engineering, and construction teams to collaborate throughout each phase, from concept development to final assembly line layout confirmation in fall 2024.

Located within Beaver Dam’s Highway 151 business park, the project supports Generac’s growing footprint in Wisconsin and brings new economic activity to the region. The facility also includes a classroom and training space for GPS Education Partners, a program that provides high school students with hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing.

For Oliver Construction, the project highlights the value of close collaboration between client and builder. The result is a modern, high-performance facility designed to strengthen both Generac’s operations and Wisconsin’s manufacturing community.
