Oliver Construction and Cohn Corporation complete the Generac Power Systems manufacturing in South Carolina
COLUMBIA, SC, – Oliver Construction Co. and Cohn Corporation have completed the manufacturing facility for Generac Power Systems in Trenton, South Carolina. Oliver Construction, a Wisconsin based Design-Build Firm, and Cohn Corporation worked to deliver the fully renovated 423,000 square foot facility. To meet increasing demand of residential generators, the expansion into South Carolina will assist in distribution within the Southeast market. The expansion is expected to bring 800 jobs to the state of South Carolina.
The renovation of Generac Power Systems included a 23,000 SF office space renovation. The 400,000 SF manufacturing space was upsized for primary electrical service, transformer, switchgear, and gas services. Oliver and Cohn installed mechanical and electrical infrastructure for new production lines, assembly lines, paint line, wastewater treatment and RO water system. Installation of compressed air, natural gas, oil process, and water loops in the manufacturing facility were needed. In addition to the manufacturing renovation, site modifications were needed for Generac. The team also completed the civil work for a generator farm, chillers, dust collector, access road, and exterior paint and signage for the facility. We are proud to have Generac Power Systems in production now at the start of the third quarter of 2021.
